Lusaka International Airport is the main Gate Way to Zambia. Situated in the Capital city of Zambia, Lusaka airport is 27 kilometers from the main business district. Openned in 1967, the airport provides services for both Domestic, Regional and International flights in accordance with the standards and recommended practices (SARPS), developed by International Civil Aviation Organisation.  

The Airport  has  a   3.9km  10/28 runway  with   a  width  of  45m,  one  parallel  taxiway  and  a  number  of  taxiway  links.
