The objective of AIS is to ensure the flow of information necessary for the safety, regularity and efficiency of International Air Navigation in form of an Integrated Aeronautical Information Package (IAIP). The elements of the IAIP are:- - AIP – Aeronautical Information Publication
- AIP Amendments
- AIP Supplements
- AIC – Aeronautical Information Circulars
- NOTAM and Pre-flight Bulletins (PIB)
- Checklists and lists of valid NOTAM
The AIS section under National Airports Corporation only publishes part of the IAIP. These are:-
NOTAM and Pre-flight Information Bulletins (PIB)
Checklists and lists of valid NOTAM
E-mail messages on NOTAM summaries are sent monthly to those who request and are included on the contact list.
Some information in NOTAM is used as input and subsequently used in updating, amending and creating any of the elements of the Integrated Aeronautical Information Package.
